Semantic Levels
Use the as prop to maintain proper heading hierarchy.
Weights
Control heading weight with the weight prop.
Colors
Use colors sparingly for headings to maintain hierarchy.
A colored heading reads the strong ink for its color: gray reads step 12, and other colors mix step 11 toward 12 so they still read as their color.
Emphasis
Use emphasis to rank headings without picking a gray step. loud is the default when a color is set. medium and quiet fade the ink. Without a color, the levels use gray steps 12, 11 and 10.
Text Alignment
Align headings horizontally.
Truncation
Truncate long headings with ellipsis.
Responsive Sizing
Size supports responsive values for different breakpoints.
Text Wrapping
Control how headings wrap with the wrap prop.
